The following is a list of all the classes we offer at Cascade Yoga Studio.

Gentle Yoga - Beginners
Students will increase stability and flexibility in every major muscle group. Every class will offer restorative yoga.

Back to Basics - Beginners
Our recommended class for students new to CYS. This class integrates the whole body by attending to basic alignment and deepening awareness of the breath. The room is heated between 72 and 75.

Back to Basics [Yoga Therapeutics] -
Beginners to Intermediate

Our Back to Basics class with special attention for those with specific injuries, such as injury of the wrists, shoulders, knees, or back.

Beyond Basics - Intermediate
This intermediate class focuses on the fundamentals of Back to Basics while adding beginning arm balances, inversions, and advanced poses. In this meditative flow class students will enjoy holding poses to cultivate stability in the body and mind.

Happy Hour Yoga - Intermediate
Come decompress after your work week. This intermediate class will start your  weekend with laughter in your heart, steadiness in your body, and optimism in your mind.  Be prepared to have fun!

Vinyasa - Intermediate to Advanced
Vinyasa means breath synchronized movement and the root of this practice is Ashtanga yoga. Creatively linking the movement with the breath builds an internal heat that purifys the body and mind. Vinyasa flow is a physically challenging practice and prior experiece is required. Heat is 82-85 degrees.

Yoga Core - All Levels
While all yoga asana works your core, in this class we'll explore the postural muscles that support the spine. Finish out your day feeling strong, centered, energized, and focused.

Ashtanga Vinyasa - Intermediate to Advanced
This class provides the  fundamentals of Ashtanga yoga, a scientific system of specific postures in a prescribed order. This powerful and rigorous practice purifies and realigns the body, cultivating a feeling of deep inner peace. Practice is generally without music.

Yoga for Sleep - All Levels
The frustration, fatigue, and discomfort of insomnia can be overwhelming.  This class focuses on all things yin to tap into the parasympathetic nervous system, or rest and digestion. We use somatics, restorative, yin, and special breathing techniques to help you unwind for greater ease of sleep.

Jr. High Yoga
Yoga for kids of all ages is a wonderful tool for developing self-esteem, concentration, and coordination as well as a great way to reduce stress and hormonal changes and build discipline. Yoga helps prevent sports injuries and create concentration, clarity, and focus for studies. Classes operate as sessions; please call the studio for information.
