Sneak peak
Be sure to save Saturday, September 20, 2008, to take part in National Yoga Day. Cascade Yoga Studio is in the midst of planning a special way to celebrate. Check back for more details later this summer.
Meditation class takes break
Meditation teacher Stephanie Squibb is taking a sabbatical from her bi-weekly Wednesday and Thursday meditation teachings at her home. Over the summer weeks, Stephanie will be taking time to deepen her practice so she can, in turn, help her students deepen
theirs. Please look for information regarding future meditation classes in the August edition of Cascade Yoga
Studio's e-newsletter or check back right here.
Treat yourself to a new mat and help those in need
Now available at CYS, Yogitoes Skidless prevents sweaty hands and feet from slipping while practicing yoga. It's super absorbent and puts a hygenic layer between you and your sticky mat. A portion of the proceeds goes to different charities depending on the color of the mat you purchase.
RED | TunaHAKI Foundation
Empowering orphans and vulnerable street children in Africa to become self-reliant.
BLACK | Mary Ellen Gerber Foundation
Mothering children in need.
BLUE | Yoga Ed
Developing health and wellness programs for children, parents, and teachers
TAN | Ravi Shankar Foundation
Supporting the exploration of world music for universal peace and harmony.
CLAY | Chandler Sky Foundation
For the homeless children of Casa De Milagros-Cusco, Peru.
CYS also has some new Yogitoes mats in earth tones with no charitable cause attached. And, if your hair won't stay in place during practice, CYS has skidless headbands available for sale.
